I built my pond about 8 years ago. It is a dammed up ravine in Iowa. The ravine is about 40 ft deep and the deepest water is 27 ft. I have very steep banks. So some banks have no beds and other banks have one row. My bass seem to find a way but my bluegill spawn is quite low. What can I do? Jim K

Without adding some shallow shelves along the shoreline, I'm not sure what you can really do.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

If steep sides make it too difficult to build a shallow shelf, you could try digging a small attached bay with appropriate depth & bottom material. Or, if you are really ambitious, make a forage pond & raise panfish there.
