Anyone have any experience with siphoning/ram systems
Is there a way to have a system where the outlet E (going into my main pond)is 2’ higher than the inlet B/C(holding/forage pond). It’s about 25’ apart Like diagram 3. Without electricity
I know it is working against the laws of physics. But many new concepts have been introduced.

If not a siphon system a solar battery or wind option to do a large pump? I do not have electric to this area over 300’

Crazy question I know any ideas?

Kyle,

To use gravity (as with a siphon) the water level of the destination must be a lower elevation than the water level of the source.

I suspect the reason the forage pond is planned to be a greater elevation than the main pond is to gravity drain the forage into the main pond. So you could get a good 3" gasoline powered pump to flood the forage pond. There are also PTO driven pumps that can move a lot of water quick. Another option is a forage pond below your main pond that can be filled by siphon from the main pond and then you could lower it (also by siphon if desired), seine the forage and move them to the main pond with containers in the bed of your truck. With the latter you wouldn't need to keep or maintain a pump ... but you would need help with the seine when forage harvest comes about.
