I have used laundry bleach in a 1000 gallon trough kiddy pool many years ago and still use it in my "man tub"...a 150 gallon trough for outdoor cooling off on a hot day. Neither got/get much use, but the bleach is vital to keeping them clean of water bugs and algae. I would just pour it in occasionally until it had a bleach smell and the next time I would use it (a week later) the bleach smell was faint to non-existent...all was good (says I, twitching and stuttering)...lol
