Took my son in law out turkey hunting. He’s used to hunting in Nebraska in a blind. I’ve always sat by a tree in camo and called them in. We worked a bird for two hours the other day. It’s a gobbler I’ve never been able to get a shot at. He’s just too careful. So I was completely hidden and doing the calling. This gobbler was focused on my location, not my son in law, who was ready to shoot. After two hours with his hens, he had to come see what was going on. A little over 29 lbs. One of the most fun turkey hunts I’ve ever been on.
9 yr old pond, 1 ac, 15' deep. RES, YP, GS, FHM (no longer), HBG (going away), SMB, and HSB (only one seen in 5 yrs) Restocked HSB (2020) Have seen one of these. I think that's about all I should put in my little pond. Otter attack in 2023

Agree with Scott. Huge bird
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Thats a huge bird, my buddy got one opening day that was 26 lbs and 1.5" spurs, heck I thought that was big!
All the really good ideas I've ever had came to me while I was milking a cow.

Surprisingly the Spurs were 1 1/8” and 1 1/4”. Double beard. 11 1/2” and 9 1/2”. Definitely an old bird.
