The photo sharing site makes a difference. For me, links from Photobucket would not display the photo directly in the message. Links from Imgur (and Flickr, apparently) will do so.

How long since you tried photobucket? That's what I use. Works great. You just have to choose the correct type of link to use in the post, and "Use Full Editor".

Imgur is what my kids suggested, and it has worked well for me. Both of my kids are IT professionals and never steer me wrong.

Yes, any photo sharing site will work. The key is finding the right link to paste into the forum. Each site will give you several link options. You just need to try each one until you figure out the right one. Once you figure it out it will be the same every time. It may be cumbersome at first but once you have done it four of five times it will be super easy.

I started using Imgur, works decent, are several options on links to copy and paste, is there one of them that will actually transfer and show up as a picture instead of a link? I still havent figured that out, Im a long way from an IT whiz, just enough to somewhat get by.
All the really good ideas I've ever had came to me while I was milking a cow.

In IMGUR it is the one that says to use it for forums (BBcode) since this is a forum:) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/BA1wvYk.jpg)

Yes, BBCode stands for “Bulletin Board Code.” So, whatever site you are using look for that. It is like putting a picture on a bulletin board for all to see. It will stay there as long as you leave the picture on the host site. If you remove the picture from the host site the picture will go away on Pond Boss. I think that is the issue people ran into a few years back with Photobucket. I think Photobucket changed their servers so the path to everyone’s pictures changed. But the link that was pasted on Pond Boss still pointed to the old location.

The free version of Photobucket has links disabled. "Hosting links are not available within your current plan. To access, upgrade now"

I switched from Photobucket to Imgur when they did the bait and switch. No regrets.
