Is there a thread showing a view of all of the different pond types and shapes of the hundreds of examples that exist on Pond Boss?

If so, could someone shoot me a link?

If not, do we want to start one?

I am still in the planning phase for some ponds at our farm. I am the guy that designs for the best function. My wife is concerned about the best aesthetics. I think it would be nice to have a big "catalog" of ponds to scroll through so people could see examples of both.

I suggest posting pics of your pond. They can be clipped satellite views, drone views, photos taken from high ground overlooking the pond, or even your line drawings.

If your pond has a distinctive shape, please give a brief reason for that shape.

If there was a good Pond Boss thread on the planning and construction of your pond, please add a link. That way, if someone that wants to mimic your project, they can determine some of the "dos and dont's".

Thanks in advance for anyone that contributes to this project!

P.S. I think everyone should have privacy concerns about their ponds and their land. Please DO NOT post anything that might lead internet crazies to your place.

Sincerely,
FishinRod

I made a thread called Pond Porn. Havnt seen it in a while but that's the types of things would be cool there. Just basically any picture of ponds and or wildlife created from the water.

The people who say I can't do it can just sit the @^#% down and watch me. Friends call me Rusto I also subscribe to pond boss mag. http://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=504716#Post504716

Great idea....I suggested years ago that it would be cool if you could click on each Pond Boss members name and see a gallery of maybe 6 pictures of their ponds/property....limited pics and pic size so not take up too much space....but I realize the Pond Boss message board is probably not a money-maker so they are limited in what they can do and whether it is even viable into the future.

ps: speaking of that I am going to go donate to Pond Boss right now

Awesome Tbar!

How do you put a brand on that pond so rustlers don't steal it?

P.S. I showed the pic to my wife (who has lived in Texas), and she said, "Most Texas thing ever!"

Thanks DSCKY!

That is a beautiful pond and beautiful landscaping.

I also like the majestic rolling hills that you "built" above your pond. (I am really jealous, the slope at my farm is 30' per mile!)

Three questions:

What are your surface acres?

What are the landscaping plants that you have just beyond the boardwalk(?) that lies to the left of your inlet in Pic #1?

Anything you would do differently after learning from your results the first time around?

Thank you. I wish I could take credit for something on this property, but I cannot. We purchased this property last year and the pond has been present as far back as google earth can take me. Based on my measurements if is about 1/2 acre, continuous spring fed. Once used as a pay lake and now used for rental for events (we have also continued this business). The plants you see are some type of hedge, but I do not know what, sorry. This is old coal strip land in south eastern ky, fortunately we have beautiful natural landscape, unfortunately, little natural flat land. If the video works it is from our wedding venue site and gives you a better understanding of the layout.... If you can handle all the wedding stuff to get there lol. Thanks again.

Just my opinion but I am on several hunting forums that have tons of activity and post. In my opinion this is by far and away the best fishing and pond forum out there. Somehow this forum needs to reach more people to generate more post and activity every day. Not claiming to know the way to accomplish that but I think this site could really grow - I have referred many people to this site but there is so much room to grow even more
