Hi all,
We have a five acre fishing pond in Loudoun County Virginia and are having a difficult time finding pond fertilizer. In fact, our local agricultural coops don't seem to even know what it is. Can anyone direct me to a vendor who sells pond fertilizer in the Northern Virginia\Maryland area?

Paul, I don't know about your area, but I order Perfect Pond Plus from Amazon. No problems with shipping and it has worked well.

Check the alkalinity of the water first before adding the fertilizer. If it's below 40, the fertilizer won't work very well.

Alfalfa meal and cottonseed meal can be found at most feed mills and ag supply stores as well. I prefer alfalfa meal. Make sure you've got good alkalinity.

Many Hatcheries/Fishery Mgt. companies can help with locating water soluble pond fertilizer. Try Pond Boss providers on the web site.
