BG will quickly take to pellets. RES need some extra attention to get going on pellets. This thread describes what I've been doing with RES the past two summers: https://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=508098&page=1Be sure to check the other threads that snrub linked. Lots of good info.
