I read in some places you should see results in hours and in others days and even found one that said 1-4 weeks. I applied alum 24 hours ago and not really much in the way of results.
Thinking either A) my average depth calc was off or B) I need to wait a bit longer to see results.
Also my PH was 8 when I started and it only ever dropped to 6.5. I still added a bit of hydrated lime and brought it back to 7.5. Should I not have done that?
Thanks

You're safe adding 50% Hyd lime of total Alum application, I believe. I'd venture to guess you were short on Alum if no results in 24hrs.

Thanks Snipe. I probably miscalculated my average depth. I'm going to add 300 more lbs and see what that does. Is there a time limit until the first batch is totally wasted? I want to just add a bit more and a bit more until it's right. I can only be up there on the weekends though.
