Normally I’m working 7 days a week this time of the year to get our hay up, but we had enough rain that I got a day off. I fished our old pond. Really happy to see the bluegills. I caught a pile of small bass of all sizes. I only managed to land one big bass. A little thin, but our males just stopped guarding the fry. The younger bass seem to be in good shape, so I’m blaming this on the spawn. I caught some big crappie, but no small ones. Pretty sure they are just helping feed the bass. Another decent bluegill. And a surprise. I put a few trout in this spring, because I thought the old ones were gone. I was wrong. Not a great picture, but probably 22 inches. Mostly concerned with getting him back in the water.
Brad 1.5 acre pond with LMB, BG, BCP, CC, FHM and lots of crayfish, unknown type. .5 acre pond with FHM and GSF. 12 acre irrigation reservoir that I don't know what to do with. New pond, roughly 1.5 acres. Pond Boss Subscriber.

Outstanding report!!!
I always felt one of the joys of having a diverse pond was never really knowing what you might hook into.
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."
