It's been awhile since I have logged on here. I'm just getting ready to construct a 12' x 16' dock on our 1/3 acre pond. The furthest 4 posts from the shore I am setting in a bucket of concrete and setting on top of the pond bottom, probably in 2-3 feet of water. The area is very stable. I am also putting a concrete stepping stone underneath each one as well for added stability. The 4 posts on shore will be concreted down about 4 feet. I am using 16 posts total, 4 rows of 4. Probably overkill but wanted to be very stable since not putting the other 12 posts in the ground.

My question is what would you recommend to waterproof the fence posts as much as possible? Has anyone had any experience with the brush on rubber products that are out there? Would that work? I have also seen some marine grade sealer for wood. I love the look of the wood posts and would like to keep that look as much as possible.

Thanks for the help!
