On the " Back Roads of Texas" Facebook page this guy got some cool images of a green heron eating a fish. I'd say from the looks of the 2nd pic, that fish is in major trouble.
Fishing has never been about the fish....

We have a pair come around the pond in the spring every year. They are funny birds to watch. One of them at our place would squawk at me if I walked toward it like it was his territory and I was infringing on it.
They love to perch on my pallets that I have in my forage pond for the FHM to spawn on. Heron smorgasbord.
