I’m hoping to get started on my pond soon and I’m trying to get my ducks in a row. For overflow pipe I’m thinking PVC that transitions to corrugated on the horizontal part. What is a good way to give support and protection to the pvc vertical part?

Mine is all PVC and I wouldn't change it to corrugated.
Why vertical?
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Plus one on the PVC, cant think of a reason to switch to corrugated.
All the really good ideas I've ever had came to me while I was milking a cow.

Maybe I described it wrong, what I am calling the vertical part is the pipe that typically has the trash rack on it. Also I guess I was assuming the switch to corrugated because I see so many done that way. Thank y’all for your help.

I could be wrong, but I think he is referring to a vertical pipe with slots in it like what we see around here for tile intakes.
