I have a new pond around 1/8 acre and average 6 feet deep. I have been stocking it with huge male BG and several small LMB also have added several smaller BG. I have 25 LMB 100 RES and 50 BG along with 3 lbs of FHM. What are everyone’s thoughts?

Title is kinda vague which is probably why you didn't get any replies. I'm not sure what you're asking. If you're asking about the FHM stocking rate, I think it's on the high side, but since you have bass and big BG, those will quickly get eaten. For a new pond, stocking rate of FHM is around 5 pounds per acre.

I stocked them today. I stocked them first to occupy the existing LMB. Later I stocked the RES LMB and BG. Hoping all is well I noticed a turtle has made it to my pond so that is gonna new. I also added sand and pea gravel for spawning. Seems like all are well I’ve not seen any floating as of yet. Wondering about putting snails in the pond for the RES is this necessary?

I think your FHM will disappear in a short amount of time. If it were me (it's not) I would stock advanced BG and RES and hold off on any more bass until next year. The BG need to get off a successful spawn to support the LMB. 3lbs of FHM will not keep LMB in the best growing conditions as 25 LMB will make a few days work out of that 3lbs. Best growing conditions are with an unlimited forage base that first year, going well into the second as they begin to transition to more abundant BG. I don't know what you have size-wise for existing LMB but they could inhibit new introduced BG depending on the size stocked.

We put RES in our ponds to eliminate snails! I sure wouldn't add snails to feed them! RES will find plenty to eat .Sounds like a awful lot of lmb for that size pond in my opinion. And that is just MY opinion. Good luck with it and enjoy!

If I had LMB in 1/8th ac I would drain it, nuke it, and restock it with catfish or hybrid stripers and hybrid bluegill and feed pellets. It's hard enough already to manage lmb in my 2.2 ac puddle.
If that's not on the table, I would manage for large bluegill/res and let the bass stunt with liberal use of a seine, cloverleaf trap, or fyke to control size classes.

Are FHM the same as creek chubs? They sure do look the same.

FHM may look like creek chubs but it is very superficial. If one looks closely at the detailed body parts there are a lot of physical differences if one knows what to look for. There is a big difference in body characteristics, spawning features, adult size, diet, behavior and habitat preferences. There is a big difference in the way each spawns, about the only similarity between the two spawning methods is they both lay eggs. The differences are numerous enough they do not even belong to the same scientific genus.

The FHM seem to be doing well. I have fry now also I’m assuming it’s either BG or LMB also have a turtle I see floating around. I’m still debating whether I remove the turtle or not.
