Would really love to get this pond nice again!! Ive spent the past couple of years clearing alot of big willow trees and brush from around the area. My problem is the constant duckweed bloom. There is alot of sludge and junk and the pond has slowly been filling with leaves and junk for years. How can I get started making this thing a pond where we can actually fish!! Not sure where to even start on getting this back in good shape. It does hold water year round in the texas heat and ive never seen it go dry. It does get alot of run off from upstream ponds and drainage from the highway. Grateful for any ideas!! If I wait to much longer my kids are gonna be grown up and im gonna regret not getting this thing fixed up for them.

Welcome to the form. You may want to give more info, like the size, how deep and what all is in it.

Will get back with better info. Ive got pics but need to figure out how to reformat them. Its about 1/2 acre or so. Im gonna recheck depth tomorrow. I jumped the gun on posting without pics and better info. Will follow up
