I fill my .7 acre pond with a 310 ft sandstone well. Hardest water I have ever known. It makes for absolutely clear water. It also has a huge bloom of chara. Incredible masses of it. The pond is full but leaks and will go down fairly quickly with the well off. With crystal clear water and so much chara would the soil floc product have potential ?
Thanks, jim

The spokesperson at Aquaben (co that makes soilfloc) told me that the bottom should be free of debris for the soilfloc to work best.

I have the same type of water, and clarity. I can now see the massive chara mounds in the bottom that I have to address before applying the Soilfloc. I was going to apply it today, it would have been perfect except for I can imagine the Soilfloc just blanketing the top of the stuff. I am assuming it must be dead and broken-down first.
