Hello All,

This is my first post on the thread. I’m very excited for the opportunity to collaborate and learn from you guys. It has been a long time dream of mine to stock my own big pond. I have a 30 acre lake/former old sand pit of some sort we have special access to in the Brighton, Mi area. This lake seems to have a decent number of 12 inch LM’s and good size BG’s. The water is very clear, with steep and deep drop offs to 30-50 feet, although there are a few ‘sandbars’, with cattails around the perimeter. Not much vegetation otherwise. It’s not too much to ask, if I asked for this: a trophy LMB, WE, YP, NP, BRNT, SMB, BRKT, RBT, SF, BG dream, correct? 😁

Thank you very much for your suggestions and feedback!

If LMB and BG are already present, that will bring some challenges with all cool water species (SMB, WAE, YP, NP,...really, everything you have listed.
A 30 acre impoundment with LMB present is going to be really hard to "change" into something else.
This would be a good candidate for a professional evaluation.

An awful lot of this stuff isregional. Since I have zero knowledge re your area, I’ll just say welcome to Pond Boss.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
