If the date is Saturday April 18th I plan on attending and will most likely be solo.

Always look forward to visiting the HighFlyer ranch.

If weather forces a change to April 25th I am ok on that date as well.

Thanks Brian!

I "should" have my ankle monitor removed by then and be able to attend, but it all depends on the judge.

If any of you guys/gals attending are interested in fly fishing for BG or LMB/HSB, I "may" be available to show you some tricks that make rigging up less of a PITA. No fancy Orvis fly fishing vests or $600 Simms waders required. LMB and BG aren't as picky as trout, so no reason to overspend to enjoy slinging a fly.

Mark,

The 18th of APR is the day. Rain or Shine.

Allen,

Do you want me to put in a good word with the judge? Also, thanks for the offer to teach tossing flies. Your demonstrated patience is perfect for that endeavor.

As for the rest of you, chime in, it is time to start getting the numbers solidified.

I have been lurking for a while and would enjoying meeting some of the posters and joining the East Texas BOW community. I have a 10 acre lake stocked with CNBG, FHM and FLMB in Zan Zandt County.

Cliff,

If you meet the three requirements (see the first post in this thread), you are invited! Always good to meet new members of the pondboss family.

During the warmer months I was catching 3 or 4 in a couple of hours. Since winter I am lucky to catch more then one. As the water warms up I hope the catch rate will increase.

As a side note, My BOW is 10 acres and I only stocked 650 fingerlings. I am hoping to get my first spawn this spring. BOW record is 3.14 lbs caught on a Texas rigged worm in Nov 19.

I just learned that an event I'm committed to work has been rescheduled to April 18th. My wife and I will not be able to come to the gathering. I'm really disappointed. I was looking forward to meeting you good people.

AR,

Thanks for the update. I understand, and with all the goings on, you might not miss it if we have to reschedule.

I would give anything to meet a bunch of you guys, and maybe learn a few fly fishing tricks, two out of the three requirements shouldn't be too bad, but I wont be able to commit to it at this time, the spring has been too wet for me to get much done in my line of work so I better be available for work if possible, and its right in the heart of Crappie, Turkey and Mushroom season if I do get a spare minute. if it were closer I would sure make every effort. Have a good time guys, as I am sure you will! sorry to miss it!

All,

I think it is in everyones best interest to postpone our gathering. Clearly as things ebb and flow, any gathering, no matter how fun, should be delayed for now. When this passes, we will evaluate our options.

You made the right call, Brian. A shame, but now just isn't the right time.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Yeah it is getting crazy around here in the stores and things shutting up. A few cases of the virus popping up in the area. We were supposed to go to Indonesia for 6 weeks on April 5th but of course that is a no go.

Maybe if Brian reschedules later in the year I can make it.

Brian, how are things going with you and the lake? Happy water ? Fishing? And I'm guessing you are in the skies transporting needed things from around the country and the world?

Tracy,

The pond is doing well. We are here working on projects. That part of my life is good.

Flying has been surreal. You could make a Zombie apocalypse movie in any of the cities I have been in. Lots of people all over the world are nervous. The good news, if there is any, is that this will pass, but it is not going to be pretty.

I can't wait for normal to return. I bet I am not alone on that one.

Brian it's good to here that your @ the pond and flying also. I miss being behind a yoke. But lots of good memories in the skies. Hoping we can all get together again soon. How is your Tp room? Raising many of them? For me it won't be long before I make a trip to Overtons for Tp. My Fa is the worst I have ever seen .
