I'm in the panhandle area and have spread rye on all new dirt areas (heavy clay) and it is coming up well. I am wondering what to put out to help maintain erosion control when warmer weather comes around? Brown top and Bahia, Bermuda? Any bank plants that help? Cattails?

My #1 choice is Bermuda because it establishes great ground cover. I would avoid cattails. Rip rap above and below the water is great choice for banks that face into the wind.
