I need a new battery for my 14 foot john boat. All the battery will do is run a trolling motor.
Has anybody used a sealed agm battery for this? I am tired of dealing with acid coming out of the top and corroding the terminals.
I wanted to see if anybody has used a sealed battery and had good luck.

Our resort only allows electric motors so I have researched and used a lot of batteries for trolling motors. I switched to AGM types many years ago. Yes, they about 2+ times the cost of the Walmart lead battery but mine have lasted for at least four years. The size 31 are what I have since they are permanently mounted in the boat. I always have a charger on them even through winter. Battery Plus stores have some nice ones as well as Cabelas. Hope this is helpful.
