I just finished the renovation of my old pond
(35 years old) and it sits on approximately six acres. It is about a half acre in total size and it is fifteen feet deep in the middle. I put in a 6" drain pipe with anti-seep collars and ran the pipe up about eight feet from the bottom. I did make a natural spillway for large rain runoff so I think I'm fine. My question is; Do I need to run the drain up farther because all I want it for is to get rid of weeds when they get to bad.
Thanks.................

P.S. My pond is now about a third of the way full!

Hey Billy. Kinda tough to see (small picture) but if that's a vertical stand pipe, you might consider installing a trash collar (screen) on it so that some branches or a turtle (that's ugly) doesn't plug it up and cause a major problem.
