I might be able to go with an elevated pipe across the ravine. That's the picture I had in my head. I have a bad tendency to just hit the bullet points when I type.

Just having it stretched across the ravine is a pretty simple solution. I dont think I will need to run it in the winter. Are you running aeration now? How far is your compressor from the pond?
9 yr old pond, 1 ac, 15' deep. RES, YP, GS, FHM (no longer), HBG (going away), SMB, and HSB (only one seen in 5 yrs) Restocked HSB (2020) Have seen one of these. I think that's about all I should put in my little pond. Otter attack in 2023

Are you running aeration now? How far is your compressor from the pond? Not yet, but soon will be. The pond is in my front yard. I've got a 20amp power tap about 75' from the water. Compressor will go in a storage shed there. I'll run blue pipe under ground to the pond from there, then come out into a valved manifold so I can run a deep diffuser during the warm months and a drip hose or something of the sort around the dock to keep it from freezing in during the winter.

At the pond again yesterday. Water seemed cooler when we swam, and we did go down at 3:30, which I thought would have been the warmest water temps. Surface temp was still 88, 2.5’ down it was still 83, and 5’ deep it was still 77. Still in very early stages of aeration consideration. Next two weeks (starting Wednesday). appear to be pretty hot, with temps in the mid 90s daily. Have had two .1” rains since 6/22. Pond level is down about 5”. That’s 22 days. So I’m still losing about 1/4” a day due to small leak and evaporation.
