For whatever reason, I've been receiving Bassmaster Maganzine. I certainly have not paid for it, yet it continues to arrive.
At any rate, do any of you get this magazine?
On page 25 of the Nov. 04 issue, it shows a LMB that is neon orange in color. It was caught on the Rideau River in eastern Ontario.
They say that it's basically a pigment issue. This thing looks like a goldfish.
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

I believe it is caused by a lack of pigment. Usually in the wild a fish like this is gobbled up in no time, and has little or no chance of survival. I've seen a picture of walleye this color too.
Bill? Bruce?
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

One of my evolutionary sciences professors at the University of Nebraska explained it this way.
"A mutation is like firing a high powered rifle into a race car engine. The vast majority of the time you will not improve it's performance."
Holding a redear sunfish is like running with scissors.
