So I'm finishing up my new pond and I want to mix bentonite in to get a really good seal.

Problem is only place I've been able to find bentonite it comes in 2500 lb sacks on pallets which requires quite a bit of additional effort on my part.

I'm in Texas south of san antonio. Curious if anyone knows if it's possible to get bentonite in a dump truck in the area?

Please read this post, there are many others too...

If you don't use it at the right time and in the right way in the pond build process it may not give you the desired results.

Just want to save you hassle and expense. It isn't as simple as dump on and it 'seals'. Rainman is a good resource as is TJ

I appreciate it.

It's a brand new pond and my pond builder is going apply it for me. Believe he's going to mix it in and we are just going to do the bottom half of the pond.

I'm just tasked with supplying the actual product and he'll take over from there. All I could find so far is those big sacks though. 90k lbs of product would add significant time to this project.

Dilley, the super sacks are often easier for builders....the dozer or loader can pick up the sack, cut some slits in the bottom and spread where wanted
