Hi, I was wondering if anyone on this forum knows where to purchase sodium bentonite in Massachusetts? I have a 1/4 acre pond that has berms on 2 sides. The guy who dug it out built the berms up on fallen logs and now I have a leak in the worst possible spot. Hoping to get the bentonite to seal the leak. Thanks!

You might contact all the different water well drillers in your area. Sometimes a driller will keep some on hand for drilling wells. If not, they may know a supplier for that part of the country. You can also google up Drilling Fluid Companies in Maine and see what if any pops up. I am not aware of any in that area but it will be available in Pennsylvania, that is the closet place for that type of company that I know of.

Wendy, unless the pond is totally empty, bentonite seldom has a chance to work. It needs to be tilled into the soil.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
