Liquid, it's mostly what you get used to or what you condition yourself for.
For example, last week I was dying in the heat and humidity after work just doing a few small outside chores. Now, last weekend I spent all weekend out in the 90 plus heat and sunshine working on the electric to the pond project. I was excited and "just got out and did it". The outside chores after work this week don't' seem bad at all and it's still hot out there!
I wouldn't trade Missouri weather for 6 months of winter, now that's hard to fathom!
Fish on!, Noel

It’s a weird year. We went from the coldest April I can remember to the hottest May I can remember. June is just as hot. All with no rain, or very little, so no new water coming in. Started spring down about 3’, now I’m down closer to 4’. That’s a lot of water missing from a 15’ deep pond. Luckily it is surrounded by trees, and sits north-south. That’s always kept my water temps down.
9 yr old pond, 1 ac, 15' deep. RES, YP, GS, FHM (no longer), HBG (going away), SMB, and HSB (only one seen in 5 yrs) Restocked HSB (2020) Have seen one of these. I think that's about all I should put in my little pond. Otter attack in 2023

I hear ya,setter. We may have had two weeks of spring weather down here on the gulf then straight into summer. Last weekend was the first measurable rain we've had in nearly 2 months. It's so dry tho that it all went straight into the ground. I may have recovered 2 inches in the pond. I'm down almost 2 feet and only 12 deep when full. Been awful tempted to build a venturi and tie into my well.

The good news for you guys is the tropical system coming up from the Pacific. A good chance that it will get the faucet turned on over the weekend.
It has been dry here too, but because of it being cool, it has not caused any real problems.

Yup...starting here Friday thru Monday. I don't need a flood again, but we sure could use 5 or 6 inches over a few days.
Hey liquidsquid...hows those fish doing? Did y'all get it straightened out?

Nah, The fishery is what it is this year. Too late to stock any WE, haven't fished it yet. I may toss a few trout in this fall just to see what happens and "thin the herd" a bit.
I only have one kiddo, and he keeps us quite busy so family things just get a higher priority than my large aquarium. Thanks for asking.
