Hey guys I was driving home from work yesterday and I saw a truck hauling three of these, they looked so cool! Looks like they are made right in Tyler, Texas.
Anyone have any of these? How do you like them? They look perfect for a small pond or even to act as floating dock.
I really like the idea and would love to find one on the cheap. I'm not saying they are overpriced, but I'm not a boat kinda guy. I am a stay at home on the farm kinda guy and would not afford that kind of money for my pond. I can imagine this being perfect for my friend who lives on a small lake in a community environment. He has a small V bottom boat that suits his needs, but I would much rather tour his lake and fish all the day long on something like the pond-tini. The pond-tini looks more stable than a similar sized V bottom/john boat and standing up and stretching every now and again would be real nice not to mention standing a fishing would be a plus without the threat of capsizing.
FWIW- I bought this one two years ago. Drop it into small bodies of water. Stable with two big guys fishing and drinking beers. All aluminum. Live well. MN has boat manufactures and good ones all over but I had to go to Texas to find what I wanted in a pond boat.
I bought a old 1978 model Terry bass boat motor and trailer for $200. Sold the motor and just put a trolling motor on the back.16 ft,stable and goes anywhere on the pond. Old boats are easy and cheap to find.
Dear Alcohol, We had a deal where you would make me funnier, smarter, and a better dancer... I saw the video... We need to talk.
We came across that old type skeeter bass boat that is shaped Ky-yack style, and is 14' in length. Cost was a barder deal to remove his wild bees that had a hive in the wrong place. It is an old boat and I did some fiberglass repair, it works great for a pond fishing boat. Came with a trailer.

Yes it is that type but I would not call it super lol. I only wished ours looked as good as the picture u provided. Ours has not been reconditioned like the one pictured and I use a 50lb trolling motor for power. I did add some fiberglass to strengthen the floor of the boat. On occasion I will see one just like ours on Caddo lake, with a 25 on it and man it is scooting. The little boat works great for one or two to wet a hook on the pond.

I have an old mini pontoon that was last used for a duck blind. Too tippy to jump up and shoot from but would be fine for a fishing platform - if and when I get my pond built....
I recently took a test drive on my pond driving a HotWoods mini pontoon boat and it was super stable and I was surprised how fast it moved with just a troll motor.

I don't doubt that and I will certainly build mine into a mini fishing toon someday. But imagine three guys sitting on one side facing the other side inside a box blind, all three stand up and step forward at the same time to shoot, and its a bit unnerving trying to swing a shotgun and maintain balance as the boat rocks to the side.
