Hey again everybody.Haven't posted in a while. My 3\4 acre pond reached full pool this past September. Well needless to say I am ready to get together a DIY aeration systems an need someone with experience to give me a idea.
Here is my situation;
-Electric power is at least 3-700 ft from pond.
-Pond is 3\4 acre, 12-14 ft max depth.an shaped like a HEART.
Im not really wanting a windmill, an think electric diy would be best for my budget. I want to run 2-3 membrane diffusers, but I'll settle for 1-2 if neccessary. Can someone guide me thru what I would need an how it should be installed to give me the best bang for my buck in a effective aeration strategy? I know there are multiple posts thruout the forum with info that I have dug thru. Any help will be appreciated!!

Hey Fanatic,

Sounds like a good project. Can you clarify what you mean by "3-700 ft?" I do know that a lot of guys with ponds a long way from the electric, put the pump at the electric and run cheap air line to the pond over some pretty amazing distances.

Thanks for replying I was meaning its ever bit of 300 to 700 ft away. Yes I am thinking I can put the pump in my barn an run some poly pipe the full distance. because it being a long ways I just don't know what HP pump would definitely do the job at that distance an what size pipe I'd need to run. Relief valves, etc.. just the simple set up.that's where I am trying to figure out
