Also the chili loam is where the house will go, good draining

The pond will be on clay loam mix where the low part of the land is

I will have to make sure when the test digs are done.

The soil scientist may want to have some soil samples collected? Check with him first before the test holes are created.

I just walked the property yesterday it's very nice.

The north and west sides of the property were very wet bc it had been raining on and off the last couple days. There was some standing water where I wanted to put the pond.

Finally got test holes dug. Good and bad news. Lots of sand but also good clay mixed in. Some of the holes we dug down 10' had sandy clay and would barely hold form. Some would have 18" thick chunks for clay.

The water would rush into the holes when he dug about 4-5' down. Like a stream. He said it looks good not great. He said I could also keep it charged with a pump during high evaporation months bc my water level is so high.
