OIC. Thanks for that. There are multiple places the kids could have gotten them. I did wish I killed the pond...but the more I think about it...the kids enjoy catching them...they like the idea of big bass...and we have all learned a great deal from them. I'm like snrub...probably 6 or 7" and above will get thrown back. Will this size be a problem for the BG pop? That size in the pic are pretty typical...will the 8-12" bass be able to handle it? I know I have read 1/3 the size they will...just curious again. Sorry for the thousand questions.

The larger GSF will definitely work on small BG fry. The 1/3 is the rule of thumb although they can eat longer more fusiform fish than something tall like a BG.
I trapped a GSF once that had swallowed a FHM about 2/3 its length with only the tip of the tail hanging out its mouth.
