Newbie here, acquired a pond 3 yrs ago after needing fill for new house (uphill) after loosing old hs twice to flooding (downhill). We live on a slight hillside. Pond is lined, stocked with BG, Shell crackers & Red bellies & a few Specks. Recently added a small waterfall and stream for circulation. I have all dimensions listed in pictures. Could really use some expert advice on getting proper pump size. Have also debated with adding a skimmer to deeper end. Will probably bring power in from old house near deeper end and pipe around to the waterfall rock. Right now just have hose from well running over rock and down stream which appears to be close to the water volume we're looking for. Thanks for any advice given.

Welcome to PBF!

I don't have a waterfall so I am hesitant to give any advice. There are Pond Boss advertisers that are in that business you could go to for advice. There are also PBF members with waterfalls of their own that will, hopefully, be along to offer some guidance.

Good luck and again, welcome!

Bill D.

We have a small water fall stream. It is about 2 ft wide. I use a 3500 GPH lawn pump from lowes. You don't need much pump unless your going way big.

I replaced a waterfall pump for a client this year. 3" outlet, 220v, 13,500 gph. His waterfall is roughly 50" wide.
