I realize this is a general question but :
For a typical dam without pipe, is it best to spill at both ends, or should a single spillway be created ? I have conditions for both, just not sure if the flow/erosion over one path will erode faster. Both conditions flow away from the dam itself...is there an advantage/disadvantage ?

Eastland, Have you had anyone engineer or design your pond? Is this a pond you are wanting to build or is it existing? If you would like a professional civil engineer with an emphasis in hydraulics and hydrology to help you with your design on your pond and/or a spillway, let me know...we can help! trent@pondmedics.com www.pondmedics.com
