This link was posted over at BBG. I can honestly say I've been there, done that, and would love to do it all over again. http://www.albanyherald.com/sports/bob-k...fd781f86df.html
"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"
If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.

From one outdoor columnist to another Bob did a beautiful job on that piece! Awesome!
It's amazing how may anglers look down on bluegills as no longer worthy of their pursuit. In fact I once had an avid bass angler tell me I could catch every last one of them out of a local lake in Massachusetts as he despised them. Of course he had no clue that without those bluegills as forage his bass wouldn't do so well.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

My dad had the local fire department looking for him and his buddy, because his mother was sure he had drowned in a local gravel pit they usually fished, as he hadn't come home that evening, or part of the next day. Little did they know they were fishing and camping out somewhere else. LOL
My dad's father also go an unexpected bill from a guy that rented boats. My dad and his sister were having a blast fishing out of the boat, and just told the guy to put in on his dad's tab. LOL
He also got offered money to shoot the neighbor lady's cat although the offerer didn't think he'd really go through with it. He did.

I don't think so. All hell broke loose and the least of his worries was getting paid.

GREAT article....my grandma was the one that turned me on to BG fishing as a little tyke. Via cane pole as a matter of fact.
I still put them in my top 5 best tasting fish out there.

Dale, I still like cane poles.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
