Anyone have any experience raising white suckers? I plan to raise them for musky bait in Northern WI. I'm mostly interested in the best ways to feed them.

I'LL be getting more White Suckers tomorrow for my own purpose. Less than 18 hours in the new tank and they were hoovering the bottom up. Kinda sucked to break their stride and toss them in a bigger tank, but think they will be more relaxed with more water and accomondations.

A few years ago learned something fascinating about Common Whte Suckers: they can be pelagic zooplankton feeders! Would never have thought that by their mouth orientation. Was helping a biologist seine a lake looking for cisco and we were pulling in 1 to 2 lb. suckers that were suspended high above the bottom in the water column. I asked him why they were suspended, and not on the bottom, and he said they were feeding on zooplankton.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
