From the big pond here on the property. Natural hybrid, 10" and 3/4 lb. Unfed and unmanaged in any way. Looks older and a little light for it's length, but not too bad.

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1)
And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1)
Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT?
PB answer: It depends.

While catching these hybrids in the deeper water off the island, I noticed this. Can you see it? Terrible photo.

Ok Sparkie,

What are we supposed to be seeing in that photo?

Center of the photo, right above the reflection of the tallest tree....see that submarine sitting there?

It's a FHC...but it's not Flat Albert. Wrong pond. Never knew it was in there, even after all these years. It cruised up in the shallows, sunk down in the vegetation, and waited for a passing meal.

Nice lepomis! How much management is the FHC doing? Or are there LMB in there too?

I'm starting to think Sparkie has one FHC Pond Manager in each of his ponds, some still undiscovered!
