I am currently working arond decatur il.and would like to buy some yp. Totake home when the project is over next month. Anyone know of any places arond here or between st. Louis and joplin mo. Off of ì 44 as that is the route I will be traveling on my way home. Thanks!

Not sure it would be advsable to stock them this time of year if you can get them. And Oklahoma may be a bit to hot in the summer for them.

That said Rainman would know.


If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Landon, I am not aware of a fish Farm in Illinois that has YP, that you could legally take home. Being a Great Lakes State, you cannot take the YP across state lines without a health certification. I'm also not aware of any farm in Missouri that would be along your route home.

Thanks for the replys and the information. Was hoping to give them a try in a small pond thats 11 ft deep and has aeration. Wanted to see if they would survive a summer in ok. We have smb. That seem to be doing ok but they may be e little more able to take the heat better. There's a farm in ks. That has them will check into that when l get done here. Thanks again!

SMB are more tolerant to heat than YP.
