Can anyone identify the weed in the picture as well? I think it is Southern naiad. Will grass carp eat it?

Grab a small handful of the weeds. Ball up them up and roll them around in your hand, trying to crush them. Them smell them. What do they smell like?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! That's awesome Scott. Now I think I have to do it just to see how nasty it smells. (It's a guy thing)
I thought it was Southern naiad(Bushy pondweed). If it's chara, will the grass carp still eat it?

They will, but only if it's the last thing in the pond. i.e. eat this or starve. Well, maybe not to that extent, but you get what I'm saying - it's not on their preferred food list.
