Sorry asked this in the wrong section before

Is there a "wrong time" to get a water sample taken? For those of you familiar with my situation (high altitude lake in Colorado) would it be bad timing to take a water sample as soon as my buddy could get to the water? They MIGHT be able to make it to the cabin in the next week or two. If they can then the water should be open and they could get a sample. I guess it would be pretty rough right now after the winter. Would that throw off the whole test? Have no way of knowing when the water opened up.

Other than that, not so much unless you are doing algae counts. Then the time of the year and water temp has to be taken into account.

Essup I moved this here since I think this is the right place to ask this. I actually found a couple of OLD (2006) water test my father in law had done. One on our lake right after a winter kill and one on a lower lake to compare. I have no idea why he got a big test done on the lower lake and not his. I WISH he was around so I could ask him. I am going to post both of them and can you please take a look? I know these are old and I am going to get a new sample done this month but I am very curious now! lol
I would GUESS we have somewhat similar water to the lower lake but I can't be certain.
