OK people dad has 20 grass carp coming for our pond this weekend and a 1,000 minnows for the bass. I am wondering how long before we start seeing the moss start to go down in our pond?

When you say 'moss' do you mean FA - Filamentous Algae? If so what I've read and/or seen is that Triploid Grass Carp really don't do a good job eating FA. They will, but only as a last resort and not with nearly the zest they eat other aquatic weeds.
Others with more knowledge will respond I'm sure, but when I put them in my pond 5 years ago I didn't notice a bit of change in the FA - actually that's not true - the FA got worse, as the nutrient load stopped being absorbed by the other plants - because the GC ate those to extinction.

Bassman,
If you want to control FA (also known, lovingly as moss) use an algaecide or see if Tilapia are legal in Nebraska. Rainman may chime in. GC are not usually a good bet to control your FA.
Also see some threads on here about crayfish eating algae.

Tilapia in Nebraska are a grey area..so for me, that means they are illegal to stock. Grass Carp won't touch FA unless starving or otherwise eating some by accident...the GC can't digest it enough to get any nutrition.
