Not to mention that the GG are pretty much a put and take fish....management efforts, in my opinion anyway, should concentrate on severely curtailing recruitment, due to the fact that two different species are involved in creating that particular hybrid. Unlike the LMB efforts discussed in this thread.
"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"
If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.

You can put anything in print especially if it is not peer reviewed. Printing it does not make it true even if you own and operate a fish farm.

One of the things I really liked about Dave Willis was his oft repeated "We really don't know". I always figured that if he didn't know, nobody did and there are no truisms.
Cody always says "All ponds are different". Again, blanket statements don't cut it and there are no truisms.
Lusk says that there are a lot of variables but it mostly concerns the overall environment. So, there are no truisms there either because environments are not static. Mama Nature has a way of scattering your chickens.
Regarding peer reviews, some of the peers have their own agendas and can't always be considered 100% trustworthy. However, somebody has to say "yeah, but".
About the only thing I know for sure is that it doesn't rain much 3 or 4 miles south of Bowie Texas and my curiosity has killed a lot of fish.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
