Tractor or large truck tire inner tubes work well and are much less expensive.

As we are all very good at self-rationalization when we want something, it's nice to know that we can pass on that ever-important skill to the next generation.

Bruce, I'm going to give your kid a call later, to discuss the following:

1) How this water trampoline (WT) can help your Redear Sunfish to relieve stress and anxiety.

2) How this WT can make your Yellow Perch double in size every (20) days, not including winter month of course. Wait, ....take that back. All year round!!

3) How having this WT in your main pond can help you kick your DMD habit.

4) How the real Jack Daniels had four of these in his pond.

and finally,

5) How placing one of these WT in each of your ponds can prevent poaching.

And I might add the need for a Pony in order to haul the WT from pond to pond.

What about using it for a fly casting target or for testing the pushing power of the sweeper nozzles or the lift capacity of the too strong surface aerator.

The savings from the DMD alone would pay for the WT without the need for any extra root-canal work! Maybe with money left over for the pony!

I think I would tell her how much I like it and ask her to start saving $ for next Fathers Day.

I looked at one of the pictures and exclaimed, "Shelby, this one is twenty-nine ninety-nine"!!

I then said, "No, kiddo, that's TWO THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED AND NINTETY NINE DOLLARS"

I don't know what one of those real expensive ones are like for comparison, but we have one like this that works great for us and is under $350.

My daughter just looked at it and I got a preliminary "thumbs up".

She seems to have in her mind that it needs to be three people at once.

Do they make a model that's slightly larger, she asks?

Bruce, We have 1 or two adults and 3 or 4 kids on it at a time. It is 12 ft in diameter. I am not familar with the ones that are really expensive, but this is not a real trampoline with springs and such. You can bounce and it is a lot of fun but I wouldn't consider it a trampoline in the traditional sense of the word, but for at least 1/5th the cost its great for me!

Nothing to do with ponds, but I'm so proud of these girls.

burger, Cynthia Barboza is great. I watched her dismantle Washington the other night. The final four is in Omaha and the Huskers and UCLA Bruins drew over 17,000 fans in the semis last night! Our volleyball teams draws more than the men's basketball if you can believe that.

How I yearn for the old college days.....

Congrats Huskers. I didnt get back from offshore to see it. Looks like some really close games. Bruce, maybe you have the inside track on if and when there will be a replay. CSTV usually has replays of good sport items. I will keep checking.

We have a superstition in my household that everytime we've ever taped something on VCR that the Huskers lose, so we never have anything taped now.

Well, I just missed it. Game 4 is 1/2 over. It was on ESPU starting at 5:30. It will probably be shown again.

So, just a second, let me get this back on track. IF you buy the aforementioned WT, how many of these girls would be showing up to use it? I think that there would make it a no-brainer purchase!

Theo, only clean thoughts here. My comment about yearning for the old college days was based on remembering the fun & exuberance of youth. You know, the unbridled optimism coupled with the lack of "adult" supervision. Good times.

Bruce, just so you know, J. Cook likes to fish, he was out twice this last summer with John Blake, it might be a good way to get the whole team out there to demonstrate usage.

I gotta be careful, I'm about to be a dad for the second time and we don't know if it will be a boy or a girl. My tune might change significantly after our ultrasound day after Christmas!

Sunil, we will definately have a sand volleyball court down there somewhere, although I'm thinking of a big shade tree or two on the peninsula, so I can picture my grandkids swinging out into the pond on a big rope swing!

How are we supposed to know if we're gonna be aunts or uncles?
