We have a slightly greenish film on our pond (Central Florida)... it didn't go away after rains or when we turn on the fountain like pollen does, so I took a sample of it to work and checked it out under the microscope. I found tiny ovoid organisms with possibly two flagella on one end, they were colorless and really quick! They were about the same size as a red blood cell...~55 micron. I've searched tons of websites and haven't seen anything similar. Does anyone know what this is...and what to do about it? Will they hurt our fish? We have croppies and bass in our 1/4 acre pond. Also, I didn't see any bacteria, and only a few other ciliated type creatures, I thought that was odd, I thought there should have been a ton of "stuff" in there.
