Here's a typical BG in my pond. I have some that are larger. This 1 was 8.75". Didn't have my scale other wise would've weighed.

Alright how do you tell what sex it is? Other than looking at her belly I never can tell the difference.

This a starter from the archive... Body, shape, ear tab and lack of scale tipping on mature fish would be my guess.. But I am not expert..

I go by the ear tab a lot. Once you have 2 of them next to each other you will look at them and go WOW that is differnt. It's not a 100 percent for sure thing but I bet on the bigger fish 7 inches and up I bet I can be right 7 or 8 out of 10 times by just the ear tab. RC
