Dan a plankton bloom is good for fish as long as it is not to dense (less than 12in visibility). It should not effect stocking. It usually turns from bright green to olive green to brownish green to brown over time as it moves from mostly phytoplankton to more and more zooplankton. This occurs as the baby fish born in the spring grow to eat more zoo and less phyto. No surprise that it is all tied together.
