Well our pond is full of singing toads. There is easy 3-4 per meter all around out pond. The sound is just about defining at night.
What do the baby tadpoles eat? I expect there to be millions of toad tadpoles and I understand the perch will not eat them. Should we scoop them out when they hatch? Is this a non issue?
Cheers Don.

Non-issue. Don't be suprised if the YP eat them. My small LMB and BG have a field day on the tadpoles. Some years they completely ring my pond approx. .5 meter out from shore. The ring slowly gets smaller every day.

Tadpoles typically eat FA, so they are beneficial at removing biomass from the pond at times... if the fish leave them along long enough.
