Bob -- I don't know what to say, except for a meager "thank you."
This posting is very difficult. I have tears in my eyes and my jaws are extremely tight as I try to write this.
The media regularly presents sensationalized stories of "good" gang members, overdose victims, etc., who died "senselessly."
It is very hard to put our good friend Dr. Dave into the obituary column.
He made such a worldwide impact on so many lives.
Thankfully, there are many great teachers and mentors in this world. I just hope there is someone to step into his place as such a great leader in the lives of students, pond bosses, and just plain everyday people.
Wow. I was never lucky enough to meet Dr. Dave Willis, but I feel I know the man a little better after this wonderful picture dedication to a guy that has so much respect from his peers.
RIP Dave, you were one of us, and you will be missed.

Well stated Ken, my sentiments exactly. It's still hard to think about his passing.
Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after. ~ Henry David Thoreau
My last series PM's with Dr. Willis simply asked if he knew of any research on possibly extreme light sensitivity with RES. He was not aware of any but was gracious enough to forward some interesting research papers on the scant research on RES that he could find. Dr. Willis will be missed.
An amazing tribute to a great man ! Thank you Bob. It hurts still. But I went yesterday , a week later , to celebrate a life well lived. Put on my Yellow SDSU Fisheries hat and prepared xmas trees to go in as habitat. Please look at the tribute link and notice the many yellow SDSU Fisheries hat. Yellow hats forever !!!!
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."
The yellow SDSU WILDLIFE FISHERIES cap. I wear it with pride and fond memories. A treasured gift from Dave Willis - it means a lot to me! Go with God my friend. George

I have been out of the loop for a while and just saw this. Although I just corresponded with him through pond boss pm and emails, it feels like I just lost a close friend. He always freely offered great advice and I will miss him.
Unfortunately can't even watch the video because it's blocked from copyright issues.. Anyone got a copy I can watch?
Works on the laptop.
This is the message you get on a mobile device:
This video contains content from WMG, The Harry Fox Agency, Inc. (HFA), EMI Music Publishing, Warner Chappell and UMG, one or more of whom have blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.
Zep and all want to collect all their coin's due them
Cranks pretty good on my laptop, but mobile probably won't work.
You can't watch movies with certain music on Mobile devices or tablets. You have to use regular ol computer. They claim you will listen to the music instead of purchasing it. I had several iMovies on YouTube get blocked for the same reason about a year ago. I got warnings telling to remove the music or else video would be deleted. Now you will notice I have replaced them with suggested music from YouTube. Slow country sounds.

I did't even know Dave and the video was very very nice! Great job! I could not even imagine losing my dad at 58. Heck he is now 70 and I can't imagine losing him now let alone at 58.
