I will be installing an aeration system in my pond this week. Any suggestions as to which part of the pond I should put the defusers? Deepest point 15 feet or somewhere else. Pond is 2 acres and kind of rectangular shaped.

If it's an older pond with significant sediment, you want to be sure and hold the diffusers up off the bottom to avoid pulling up muck. This is probably a good idea even in a new pond.

One other item to be concerned about is placing the diffusers too far below the thermocline and mixing too much low oxygen water into the surface layer all at once. But from looking at another current aeration thread, it sounds like most ponds in Texas should be pretty well mixed from top to bottom this time of year. You could run the quick'n'dirty Cody check to compare top and bottom water temps; if close enough (< 5 degrees, I think), this shouldn't be a problem.
