i just purchased new property in the wild. has two very old ponds and full of bass... there is a lot of moss and seems to spreading during these summer months...i feel i should not kill it all,, and maybe just part... what do i use, and how much?? marshell williams

What do you mean by 'moss'? Do you mean filamentous algae? How deep are the ponds, how big are they and how much of the suface is covered by this vegetation?

After pulling this weed off of a spinner bait several times I believe the plant to be Wideon Grass. Maybe Kelly Duffie can provide some insite on controlling.

Time out! Now I'm getting a little confused. In which lake in the "widgeon grass" located? Marshells? or Bill? I have a picture of widgeon grass - but don't know which one of you to email it to. KD

Kelly, I hope the emails helped answer who's pond we are talking about. It is Marshell's. I'm amazed how much this plant has taken over in one month, sure the heat and lack of rain hasn't helped.
