I noticed tonight that my air line has almost surfaced after I reposistion the aerator I made a loop and the dang thing started to raise up, I was very surprised to see the amount of growth on it and can anyone tell by the picture what it might be

Can you pull it or raise it up into about an inch or two of water and then photograph it? We can't see much detail from your first photo.

No not anymore I tied a block to it just after I took this picture and sent it to the bottom.
It is really dense and thick and real durable type stuff and the growth is thicker at the highest arch of the air line closest to the surface so I am thinking that it would need the sun to grow, this was out in about 8 foot of water about 40 foot from shore
