Nate not seeing the pics, not sure if anyone else is having that issue. My internet is slow this morning.

I have always thought about getting a center console myself when I was living in the Chitown area to fish the great lakes with. But I went with a full windshield.

I see the pictures now.

Nate, I'm finally seeing a lot more center consoles down here. They just make a lot of sense when more than 2 people want to fish comfortably.

Looks like a great day, congrats.

Man! n8ly, your lake is just jumping off!

Nice boat Nate - but don't like towers tho, but I am a fly fisherman - sweet water and salty.
Here's my center console Falcon Grande - best boat ever built!
Wouldn't hazerd a guess how many striped bass and SMB caught out of that boat.

Wish I had known you back then but you were in kneepants.. grin
Sold it to my best fishin' buddy for ten bucks with promise to "pass it on".

Have fun with your new boat and establish a leagacy!

Hi Stacy, I could not get your pictures to come up on photo thread format, so I transfered to Fishn' 2013?

Hi Stacy – my HSB is not as big as yours, but do I ever have a story to tell:

The rest of the story:
Yesterday, the CNBG and HSB were feeding like crazy and we caught dozens of CNBG.
Mrs. G was experimenting with Stubby “scraps” since she had to give most of her new psllets away… grin.. and I was experimenting with worms.

This morning the situation was reversed – fish were not feeding at all and just caught a couple or so on the original brown...so I had an idea to experiment – or innovate?
Put on a brown Stubby pellet with a white “scrap tail” on a #6 Mustad bait hook – cast into deeper water and hooked up a CNBG occasionally.
Put on a chartreaus “scrap tail” and got a strike or fish on every cast – even a couple of small HSB...

Something interesting about this set-up with tail tipped – kept the large pellet from sliding down hook shank and fouling the hook gape ….

George - It is a great and creative idea for a pellet lure. Good work!

Hey, Mr. Glazener! That story IS very interesting! I love your use of the worm "scraps" as tails. We did something a little similar for crappie fishing but the pellet is on the bottom instead of ontop like yours. We're going to have to try all these. Beautiful fish and photography! Thanks so much! smile

That one should be one of the SMB that I got from TJ that I pellet trained last year but it's been too cold this spring to be tossing pellets on a regular basis yet.

Caught a few this evening trying out a new rod. The male RES was almost 12", with the female 11"

Gravid RES

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1)
And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1)
Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT?
PB answer: It depends.

Had to get out and test a recently put-back-together elbow the other day. Sunday did not give us ideal fishing conditions here, but we made the most of them. Hit up a lake we like to visit in our area because of its diversity. You never know what you’re going to catch. There were seven of us, four were kids. Not even a sniff the first hour we were out there. Kept at it I was rewarded with a big drum. On ML tackle, it was a pretty incredible fight.

Soon after, my buddy’s wife hooked into a very nice walleye. We thought it was on. Nope. Another hour passes and, besides a small yellow bullhead on a nightcrawler sitting on the bottom hoping for something else, not a bite or a nibble. The kids were getting restless so we started to load up the car. I promised my son if he actively fished for the next 15 minutes we’d hunt for some morels. Five minutes from officially calling it quits, all hell breaks loose. He’s hooked into something. His personal best largemouth bass.

And we found quite a few morels too.

Smiles all around. Sounds like a great day, and I bet the drum was a blast on ML.

First time my dad fished and caught something in over ten years!! Sorry for the crummy photos. I was so bummed when I got back to the house and noticed it.

Thanks PondBoss for the helping create great memories. I haven't seen him this happy in a long time, ...and me too.
